Crop tops are everywhere right now. Its a Saved by the Bell meets Punky Brewster come back to life trend. However, I am not about to show my midriff, so I had a better idea. Use it as a layering piece. I put one over this maxi dress for a way to add some fun pattern to the rainy day that was before me.

And hey teachers….the ones who spend extra after hours and weekends working on your classrooms, tutoring your students, or grading papers,
The ones who teach life lessons through your actions and classroom environment,
The ones who give all those extra hugs, wipe away tears, and solve some pretty tough math problems,
The ones who put yourself in harms way to protect the children you are in charge of…
You know, those teachers we all knew and wouldn’t be here without. Thank you.
You are SO appreciated, your actions are not unseen, and your place in society is irreplaceable.
Just wanted to remind you!

~From a wife of a teacher who sees more than meets the eye;)

Hope your spoiled this teacher appreciation week!

  • You are so stinkin’ cute! I love your style.

  • I totally agree with your teacher statement My husband is a preschool teacher and spends more time on creating fun and educational activities for the kids than most. I find it crazy how in our society people view teachers. I am so very thankful to all the wonderful men and women who have helped me in my education but also who have helped my two little girls. Even though they are not of school age they still attend a facility where the adults are teachers to them. They are wonderful and I wish they knew that we praise them every day not just one special week.

  • Prettiest bump ever! Like ever! xo Mandy @ Waiting On Martha

  • So true! Thanks for sharing that! I’m so grateful to teachers I had, teachers my kids have/will have, and both of my parents who were educators.

I just smile when I see your bumb outfits…so cute yet chic at the same time….something I for sure did not accomplish when I was pregnant! 😉 Hope you’re doing well!

    xo, Kristen

    • I remember every single one of my teachers! The good ones left big impacts on work ethic, the way to treat others, confidence, etc. etc.
And thank you for the kind words friend!

  • Well, you’re the cutest pregnant mama I’ve ever seen. I STILL want to illustrate you, no matter if you had a baby a year ago, or if you’re about to have one a week from now.

Hope your husband was spoiled to death! My sister is a band director, so I can relate to what you said. 🙂

I love that crop top combined with that clutch! The conflicting patterns look great together!

How do you make being pregnant look so elegant?! Omg, you are too cute! I remember cankles, totem pole legs, and a swollen face. In my defense, my first pregnancy was while I was still teaching high school English and Acting/drama, so I was on my feet all day and the adema was horrendous. 😉 Seriously, though, I would have loved to wear some of your “bump-styled” outfits!

      correction: edema 😉

    • Well, we have yet to hit the heat here in Atlanta so cankles are on my radar for June;) Dressing up a few times a week while being pregnant keeps me out of the low energy rut and focusing on the positive. Thank you for the kind words!

  • You look adorable and I love your creative use of the crop top. 🙂 Also, amen to your teacher statement. My little sister is a teacher, and she devotes so much of herself to those kids. It’s pretty amazing.

  • As a woman, I totally appreciate your adorable ensemble. As a teacher, I totally appreciate your little thank you note at the end of this post. 🙂

  • What a brilliant idea, Anna! I might try that sometime. You look super cute!
