Bump Style Breakdown vol .03

Dutch Braid via IHODSporty maternity style | In Honor of Designadidas kicks | In Honor of Design25 weeks

I welcomed this week’s bump style breakdown with open arms. Continuing the series with my friends Jessica of Little Baby Garvin and Leanne from Elle Apparel to breakdown ways to navigate through pregnancy through limited wardrobe options! Here’s what I have been living in…

Sweatshirt tee – Longer length tees are a must with a growing bump. I had serious muffler midriff going on with my normal tees so Pea in the Pod came to the rescue with this one. Gabe is beginning to wonder if I threw away all of my other three shirts that fit because this one is all I want to wear.

Distressed denim – As I am nearing my third trimester, I can no longer fudge the non-maternity pants and jeans. I really just look forward to finding things that are no-fuss. I was a firm believer there were no such thing as a comfortable and stylish pair of maternity jeans until I tried these. Have never tried a softer and more comfortable pair. I might even wear them post pregnancy because of how good they fit. I wish I would have just invested in a good pair of jeans with my first baby!

Baseball cap – To hide my frizzy mane now that the warm weather has arrived in GA..

Sporty kicks – Found these incredible comfortable kicks at a thrift store. Couldn’t believe my luck considering I had been eyeing these for months. My feet are quite happy. They made the hike up Rock city an easier one.

Head over to Little Baby Garvin and Elle Apparel for two more sporty style looks I am taking notes from! You can find previous looks we have styled here. Cheers to the almost weekend!

x, Anna

P.S. By the way this bump is shaping up I have a growing feeling of what the gender will be. Any guesses? 😉

  • I have a long sleeved maternity sweatshirt from Gap just like it, and wear it non-stop as well. The beauty of working from home:) I was wondering how well do the maternity jeans stay up? I am 31 weeks and have been mostly wearing normal jean from Old Navy under buttoned under my bump or using the rubber band trick, because I cannot for the life of me, get maternity jeans to stay up, neither full panel nor under the belly ones. I don’t mind spending money on something that works (although $200 plus for a pair of maternity jeans is a little tough, but cost per wear…) I just don’t want to buy another pair that don’t cut it.

    • Hi Kate! Yes, I always use the rubberband trick through my first trimester;) The jeans have a band that you can fold over or wear over the belly. If I fold over the top part of the jeans they stay up pretty well compared to past experiences, although I still wear a Blanqi bodystyler over all pants for extra belly support and keeping everything in place:) But yes, wish I would have just invested in a good pair from the beginning because they make such a difference!

  • You look so adorable!!

  • You have fabulous maternity style. Very much cool and collective. I mentioned on Jessica’s post that I hid my pregnant body. But I actually had a genuine love for it. Next time around I really want to embrace it. (: I’m horrible at guessing bump shapes. I swore up and down I was having a boy and found out it was a girl. Though I carried farther out where as you are carrying wider. By what I can see from the photos at least. (; So boy?
It was so nice coming across your blog. Congrats and good luck!

    • That is so kind of you thank you Kiki! I agree that all the changes during pregnancy were not something I enjoyed the first few times, and it took me a while to really comprehend what was happening. I am thankful for a chance to have a baby and embrace this time of being so close to this little life inside and enjoy my pregnancy shape even though it doesn’t feel all the great at times;) Thanks for the nice comment!

  • It’s not fair how cute you look while pregnant!
