Easter Sunday.

April 6, 2015

Happy Easter to all of you!
I have never been more thankful for hope.
We are often surrounded by brokenness, pain, and suffering in our world, but I also see so much good.
I am sometimes grow timid and doubtful thinking about raising my children in today’s state, but Easter always reminds me of the incredible HOPE there is in the Resurrection. God will always triumph over death, and “make all things new” (1 Peter:22). His boundless love and mercy washed away sin and opened up the hope of heaven…

I turn to hope knowing that there was victory over death through the cross, and that each person can have an Easter within them. A chance for new life and new beginnings, each and every day we choose to step forward in grace.

We did really simple baskets this year with Easter books, baby bunnies (or the next best thing to the real deal since miss V really wants a pet), bubbles, stickers, and a few treats. All the symbols of new life (like baby animals and easter eggs) are sweet reminders for little ones.

These are some pictures of our Easter in Nashville with SOME of my big wonderful family.
Much love!
Anna

P.S. Kids outfits – I picked up most of the pieces last minute on super sale at Old Navy! Max’s moccs are from Freshly Picked, V’s mini scarf is from Eclectic Joy shop and her saltwaters are from Mini Mioche. Peter Cottontail pj’s from Baby Gap.

What a glorious Easter you had! Thank goodness for HOPE. I saw a lady at the store the other day who was wearing one of those “stay calm” shirts. It said, “Be calm, for I have over come the world!” (John 16:33). I told her I loved her shirt – that was the verse we chose for our son’s baptism so it has even more meaning. May we live every day in the light of the Resurrection. 🙂

  • Beautiful family! Happy Easter!!!! I love how your family coordinates with your outfits! Not matching but looking put together. I try to do that with my family too! Usually one of the outfits is the most colorful with everyone else’s picking up a color as well. Loved your dress! You all looked beautiful!

    • Thanks so much Katie! I would say Christmas and Easter are the only days of the year we are all put together at the same time and somewhat co-ordinate. ha ha!

  • Such a beautiful family! I hope you had a wonderful Easter 🙂
