Weekend Style: Splurge vs. Save

April 30, 2017

Gabe surprised me with tickets to see Ben Folds perform with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. Ben Folds music was the soundtrack of our dating years and the first dance song at our wedding. We were counting down the days for months to see him live, and guess who got called into jury duty the same date? I almost cancelled the sitter, but held out on the hope he would get off in time. Fighting for time in our marriage is more challenging now than ever, but it always is worth jumping the hurdles. Gabe made it back just in time for us to jet to the city, and we let the music take us back to the start.

Anyways, here are a few weekend style looks I posted on instagram from recent nights, and I thought it would be fun to do more splurge vs. save posts. Let me know if these are helpful at all…

Top: splurge // save
Denim: splurge // save (40% off)
Clutch: splurge // save
Heels: splurge // save

Top: splurge // save
Shorts: splurge (30% off) // save
Sandals: splurge // save

These are a few tops I will rotate often in May and I am looking forward to developing a rotation of pieces that might work for a capsule wardrobe. (Debating this option! More on that soon.)

Hope you all have a well spent Sunday! x

  • Awww, what a sweet story about you and your hubby! That’s awesome that timing with everything ended up allowing you guys to see Ben after all 🙂 Really loved the top in the first photo and glad that you included a similar choice that was more budget-friendly!

  • I love this kind of post! I especially love how you can find gems on Amazon! We have prime but I always forget to look there for clothes!

Can you do a post about fitness/nutrition? You look AMAZING and with the responsibilities you have I am in awe of how a person looks like you do!

  • Loved this post! I adore your style, but agree with Mary’s comment, it’s usually over my price range, it’s helpful to have the splurge and save options! That way if I fall in love with something I can watch for it to go in sale or go with a more affordable option. Love love love this blog…your take on family life and curating beauty in the day to day is an inspiration. Don’t stop =)

  • I’m a sucker for lace tops, and that one is gorgeous!
