This is so good and encouraging. I feel like every story is hitting so close to home this week. I feel like a broken record, but my husband and I married young in college and just months down the road conceived. One of those early Christmas a stranger gifted us a tree at the Christmas tree farm we went to look at. Gabe teased me that Christmas that I was falling more in love with the tree than him ;) It is still the most perfect looking Christmas tree we've ever had (I have lots of pictures to prove it :) All season long I looked at it and was reminded how lavishly we people
are loved by our maker. We might borrow this tradition from you! P.s LOVE the Tolkien quote too!

Your story is so touching. A tree completes the whole picture this festive season, and no one should be unwillingly without one.
