Savory Egg Noodle Casserole

marinara sauce
(I love Rao’s)
1 – 1 1/4
lb.
Ground Beef

package
egg noodles
(8 oz.)
1 1/2
c.
cottage cheese
3/4
c.
sour cream
salt
to taste
pepper
to taste

c.
shredded cheese
(colby jack or cheddar)
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Cook the egg noodles in boiling water for about 8 min or until al dente. Drain.
Brown the ground beef on medium-low heat. Add salt and pepper to taste. Drain excess grease.
Add marinara sauce and simmer on low.
While meat is browning, mix together cottage cheese and sour cream in a bowl.
Add cottage cheese and sour cream mix to cooked noodles in pot and stir well till evenly coated.
Pour into a 9 x 13 in. pyrex dish or ceramic braiser.
Layer meat sauce over top of the noodles.
Layer shredded cheese on top of the meat sauce.
Cover with lid or foil and bake for 20 min.
Serve with warm dinner rolls and salad. Enjoy!
Recipe Notes
If you only have tomato sauce on hand, flavor it with some Italian seasoning!
