Chobani so kindly sent me a case of their best greek yogurt to play around with which was fun for all of us considering we eat it daily. (Its Veronica’s favorite breakfast option.) Its still as hot as heck here in Atlanta so I thought it would be super cool (pun intended) to turn these into frozen treats on the go to get us through these hot afternoons.
Directions:
Take out your berries from the freezer and let them thaw for a few minutes till they perspire.
For Yonana Machine: Run berries through the machine and mix with half cup of vanilla yogurt (if you use plain it will be tart so add agave.) Pour half of mixture in the molds and stick in freezer.
Rinse and repeat with frozen bananas (pull straight out of the freezer). Layer in molds as second layer and put back in freezer.
Rinse and repeat with berry medley, add the tops of the molds and freeze for 2 hours.
Blender: Add berries, yogurt, and agave at once. Pour half the mix in molds.
Rinse blender and add bananas and chobani yogurt. Fill the molds 2/3 of the way.
Add the rest of the berry mixture and the tops of the molds and freeze for two hours.
Pretty simple! And you have a good amount as a result! If you try these out be sure to let me know how it goes!
I got to experience one of these pieces from the feminine and stylish line first hand last week (as seen here) and the quality is impressive, but even better, you feel a little like a Marilyn or Grace Kelly when you put them on. Just enough retro with the right element of modern to add that extra pep in your step.
I met Cori back in NYC. She is a stunning mother of 4, who runs and designs these skirts herself. She immediately was my hero. We are so excited to give away one of these beauties today! Have fun and may the best gal win!

I met Isobel through a style series and asked her to share some of her to share some quick takes on style. This San Francisco gal has excellent taste and her blog is full of beautiful glimpses of the city and adventures with her little man Holden. We are on the same page with why we still choose to wear heels and dress up sometimes:) Thank you Isobel for being a guest here today!
1) You haven’t left heels aside since become a mother. What motivates you to get dressed every day and put your best foot forward?
I think getting dressed in something you feel good in automatically makes you feel better about yourself and makes you a more confident person. With a toddler in tow, I often don’t have time to do my hair or put make-up on, but when I throw on a dress, I actually feel put together.
2) The style trend you are most looking forward to trying out for pre-fall season?
There are seriously so many, but I’m excited about all of the capes and training pants on the fall 2013 runway.
3) What is in your opinion, the best aspect of blogging?
The community, meeting like-minded individuals, and capturing our families adventures. I was the first of my friends to get pregnant and didn’t have a lot of friends with children, so blogging has connected me to other mothers that have been and are going through the same things that I am going through as a first-time mother.
4) Your top fashion DON’T?
Yoga pants everyday. When I first had Holden, I would almost always opt for my Lulu Lemon yoga pants because they were comfy, allowed me to run around at the park, and had recently become publicly acceptable as an actual outfit instead of being considered solely workout gear. I think it’s a really easy option for busy women, but I never really felt fully put together. There’s a quote that says “Dress like you’re going to meet your worst enemy today” and think it’s such a good motto when it comes to style. When you look your best, you feel your best.
5) What are your tips for working with the pieces in your closet?
Try mixing different patterns and prints that you wouldn’t normally put together. You’ll surprise yourself with some new combinations of pieces that you may have never thought to wear as an outfit.
6) Favorite places to shop for you and your little one?
I love online shopping because attempting to peruse through options at a store with a toddler never really seems to work out. My favorite stores for myself are Shopbop, Net-a-Porter, and Bloomingdales. For Holden, I love H&M, Fawn Shoppe, Thumebline, and Nordstrom.
7) Do you think there is such thing as balancing motherhood and work? If so, how do you strive to achieve it?
I definitely think there is, but I am still trying to figure it out. I think it’s important to set aside time for work and time with your little ones so that you can focus on each individually. But right now I stay up pretty late to get the things done that I need to and am trying to work on a little more balance (and sleep) between the two.
P.S. In case you missed, I am sending a random reader a box of summer goodness. Just leave the link to your favorite summer pinterest board or pin here.
My children share a room (they have a little too much fun together!), and since we don’t have a basement I wanted to make their room a little world that could come alive to their imaginations. Since we rent our home, every single room was a drab neutral so we decided to paint the room white to brighten it up. We also wanted to encourage reading and art so we have a little window seat and art station for them.
To make it gender neutral, I just used a lot of bold colors with black and white. The ombre curtain (actually a shower curtain!) and pillows are from Target, the seat rug, kids table, rug, art hanging clips, and bookshelves are from Ikea Atlanta, and the Grow chart board is from an antique market. They both are crazy about animals so the giant canvas wall print from Anewall really tied everything together. The kids started shouting when they saw it up for the first time. They were so excited. I will be sure to share the rest of their room sometime soon!
Fun news – Anewall.com is generously giving one of these canvas prints to an IHOD reader! ($149 value!) Enter below through rafflecopter through next Tuesday the 13th! Best of luck!
I am challenging myself and Gabe with the style posts to stretch a little more creatively. We found these walls and surfaces in the middle of our town on an unappealing street. These walls and floors have character non the less and wonder what their purpose was before they were out of use. I have so many fun spots to show you these coming weeks and am looking forward to working with a fellow creative on these posts as well. (Will give more details on that soon.)
Now let me clarify the fact that I don’t get dressed up every day, but on the weekends, its nice to get out of the favorite grey tee and put on a feminine pair of heels. Does wonders for this gal. Kind of a mental re-charge. The time I put into taking care of myself always gives back to my family in a better way. This blog challenges me also to do this more often which I am grateful for. I am taking these posts back to the meaning of dress….to put the best of your heart into all you do.
Hope you had a great weekend friends!
“The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman is seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides. True beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It’s the caring that she lovingly gives, the passion that she shows & the beauty of a woman only grows with passing years.” -Audrey Hepburn
Excited to finally have a chance to link up with my friend Hallie who is one of my favorite reads.
1. Fashion or Fret? Debating whether or not to attend fashion week this fall. I have a few things I am trying to cram into a quick 48 hour trip. I keep hemming and hawing over leaving a new baby for a few days (with Gabe). Is this crazy ? You tell me. Breastfeeding would require me to pump through the trip…any experience with this? I just don’t think bringing him is wise in the busy city of NYC.
2. #VerilyMoment. I received my first issue of Verily Magazine in the mail yesterday. I read it cover to cover….laughed, teared up, was encouraged, and challenged in good ways. Friends, you need to get yourself a copy ASAP. The girls behind this magazine are truest gems in every sense of the word. VIEW FULL POST
