We made a quick trip to Nashville to visit my sister and her family before the school year starts again. Our children are similar ages and if you were to ask mine who their best friends are, they would tell you their cousins! We rented my friend Elsie Larson’s Airbnb, and had to pass along this gem to you all. I loved the retro vibe and the touch of green in every room. As someone who is always observing design, nothing inspires me more than going to different cities. This east Nashville Airbnb perfectly reflected the culture of one of our favorite cities.
Isn’t it fun? My little ones were in heaven with the kids room because it was a treehouse bunk + fun toys. It’s located near lots of good restaurants and shops which is really nice. You can look into availability of this airbnb here.
There are several family friendly spots in Nashville, but since we only had a few short days, we hit up some favorites:
Las Paletas – A little white house with benches in front you can sit and take a break from summer heat! They serve so many flavors of popsicles made with fresh ingredients. My kids requested a stop here:)
Five Daughters Bakery – Easily the best donuts I have ever had. They infuse the donuts in several layers so they are oozing with cream and other goodness. The maple bacon and dipped cone were both phenomenal. I love how they have a little playground area on the side. We spent a good hour there.
Amelia’s Flower Truck – There are 4 trucks that change locations every day around the city. It’s become a token Nashville stop, and we got lucky with it being near where we were hanging out this time!
These were all along 12 South where you can also find White’s Mercantile, Imogene + Willie, and some ridiculously good burgers or BBQ!
