We have a range of ages in our home right now from toddlers up to teens. We just wrapped birthday season, so I have some really fun toy recommendations and gift ideas for the upcoming holiday season for you (many on sale this week)!
Camp snap digital camera – I grabbed one of these for my 15 yr old, but I think these screen free digital cameras would be such a fun memory maker for any adult, teens, or kids! Includes a pre-installed micro SD that allows you to snap up to 2000 photos and transfer them to your ios, android, Mac or PC. There are 6 interchangeable filters: standard, vintage 1–3, analog, and black & white for capturing special memories without needing a phone. (And no apps required!) Several color options available too.
Jelly blox – These have been such a fun sensory toy for the younger toddler ages. Squishy duplo blocks filled with different textures that you can stack and build with! (Larger set with box also available.) 20% off
MP3 music/audiobook player – This was the hot ticket item this year as our 10, 11, and 13 yr old all requested one. They don’t have phones, but wanted a way they could listen to audible books and music. These MP3 players have optional apps like audible, spotify, libby, and several others. There are still good parental control options, so we opted out of internet access and still can check in on what they are using. They have loved these for traveling, running with music, or down time in their room. A great price point too! There are black, blue, and pink color options.
DIY Lip balm kit – A big hit with my girls this year! Comes with everything you need to make your own lip balm or chapstick, with different colors and essential oil scents to customize. Under $20
Drill & Bolt Stem Bucket – This toddler stem toy has provided hours of entertainment for my 2 and 5 yr olds. Comes with a battery operated drill that can reverse directions to screw bolts in and out. Also comes with picture cards to create patterns. 37% off
Baseball/Softball Net and Tee Set – If you have any baseball fanatics in your home, this tee and net combo has been a great option for home practice right in your backyard. 20% off
Mini magna tile kits – If your kids love magna tiles, this mini set is perfect for quiet time play or traveling. These set get a lot of use in our house! I have my eye on the construction set. 20% off
Fitness Watch – We have a few kids who wanted to track their fitness times and activities, and this watch has been a fantastic option for tracking exercise modes and health reminders. It does have the option to connect to a smartphone for incoming calls and texts, but not a requirement. It’s been cool to see how it motivates them to move and stay active! 43% off
Sticker box – My 7 and 10 yr old girls have a sticker collection, so this is what is on the Christmas wishlist. You can create your own stickers by speaking aloud your ideas. The sticker box will then create and print black and white versions for the kids to color. Built in filters for safe technology. Comes with sticker rolls and colored pencils. (You can use code: IHOD for $10 off)
The Chameleon – One of our family’s favorite games that even our teens love. Takes only a few minutes to learn, and 15 min. to play. Everyone knows the secret word – except for the player with the chameleon card. Use hidden codes, carefully chosen words, and a bit of finger-pointing to track down the guilty player. 28% off
