Holiday Decor Favorites!

November 8, 2021

Village houses are old from Pottery barn (similar here or here), gold lanterns, similar fire log holder, vintage candlesticks

We usually don’t bring out the Christmas decor till after Thanksgiving, but I did want to share my favorites a little early to allow time for shipping! My kids look forward to getting out the familiar items each year, and it makes me remember how exciting it was as a child when my mom got out the Christmas boxes.

Thanksgiving Table Decor Ideas

November 2, 2021

thanksgiving table and menu

I know it’s easy to want to skip to Christmas everything, but I do love Thanksgiving. It will be down to the wire if our kitchen will be in use by then. (Crossing my fingers.) Build Your Own Fall Capsule Wardrobe

October 22, 2021

Remember when I used to blog about style? That was a great creative outlet for a while, but truth be told…being in front of the camera makes me really uncomfortable so I don’t miss it! As temps are finally cooling here in TN, I was in the mood to hunt down some good seasonal scented candles and chunky cozy throws. We rounded up some really good ones below!

Kitchen Renovation Timeline + Layout

October 5, 2021

Well, after a year of planning, scheming, and dreaming….the kitchen renovation officially commences today. In many ways I am so glad we didn’t rush this process, and took the time to think through every detail. Since the kitchen is a place we spend so much time in, we wanted to make sure we really get it right. I admit when we started the design, I was naive to the amount of time and decisions involved in a gut renovation. Today I wanted to share a break down of what the timeline looks like because it all has to flow like a row of dominoes.

Timeless Vases under $60

September 29, 2021

A few years ago I picked up a bunch of faux floral stems at Michaels, Target, and Crate and Barrel and was able to make quite a few arrangements I re-use every fall. It’s a simple way to add some autumn color to your home without it being overwhelming. I also think if you find a timeless vase, it will last for many seasons! We rounded up a bunch of timeless vases under $60 below that would pair well with some floral stems!
