Summer Family Movie List!

June 10, 2021

We started family movie nights on Fridays a few years ago, and in the summer we watch a lot of old flicks. It’s something they all look forward to, and now they don’t let us skip a week! It’s getting harder to find something the kids all agree on, so often times we let them take turns choosing. I have been meaning to share a family movie list for a while now to reference if you need some new ideas! I crowd sourced some of these recs as well, so there are some new to me movies I can’t wait to try.

bedroom makeover

For a long time, I have wanted to start designing for people and families outside of our own home, but it just hasn’t been the right season. Recently we had the opportunity to offer a complete room makeover to a reader, and it’s something I have been really looking forward to! The makeover includes all of the furniture from Article, as well as the design plans and install from us. Today I am sharing a peek at the mood boards I shared with the winner, as well as the incredible story behind her family.

Happy Weekend: Summer break Sales!

May 28, 2021

outdoor patio furniture

Today is the kids’ last day of school so we are heading to visit my family knowing it’s my last chance to travel to see them before the baby comes. My children are jumping out of their skins with excitement and I am just trying to get 7 suitcases packed! I wanted to share a quick round up of deals that I thought were worth noting.

bookshelf decor - vintage books

It’s no secret that I love to style with books. It’s the first thing I unpacked in our new house to get on these bookshelves to help it feel like home. I am asked often where I found so many vintage books, and if I actually use them! I slowly have collected them over time, and I wanted to share my favorite places to hunt for vintage book bundles.

Our Backyard Fruit Trees and Bushes Guide

May 4, 2021

Today’s post is written by Gabe (the green thumb between us two).

One of the hardest parts of moving from our GA home was leaving behind the myriad of fruit trees and bushes we had planted in our yard. Many of my fruiting beauties were just beginning to set their first major harvests as we packed up to move. As soon as we landed foot in our new place here in Nashville, I began dreaming and plotting what to plant around the yard.

Our Dining Room Reveal

April 6, 2021

This was the year I resolved to add more color back into our home, and the dining room design is as bold as they come. Since this was a shadowy room, I played off of the moodiness. I knew this would be a space we will share many family meals and birthday dinners, so I wanted it to be fun as well as timeless.

I love how paint alone can change a room. We are working on each of the kids’ rooms in phases, and once Chiara’s was done I was able to start on Rocco and Max’s room. We used just about everything from their old room, and wanted to stay under $500 for any updates. A tour of what we came up with!

(Thank you Joseph Bradshaw for the photography)
