Family Travel: Clearwater Beach, FL

We purposely didn’t plan a thing for the month of June to make sure we got plenty of long summer days. It was very needed. We only have about a month left till the kids start school, so we thought a family adventure was in order. I don’t think there is anything our kids love more than water. We have lived in Atlanta for about 8 years now, and still have so much we have yet to see and do. It is a very large city with a good deal of options for families to take advantage of. May usually offers prime weather, so we headed to the Atlanta Botanical Gardens for a day trip adventure over Mother’s Day weekend because our kids have never been!

Garden update + DIY Garden Stakes

Since we bought our first home last year, Gabe (the green thumb in this relationship) almost immediately put shovel to clay dirt and planted all kinds of fruit trees.  This year, we took advantage of the old garden beds that came with the house and planted even more vegetables and fruits to give our kids a chance to start gardening! You know, that whole fulfilling thing of working with dirt and seeing the work bear fruit;) We made these DIY garden stakes to keep track of the young starts. They are super simple to make, but such a fun gift to give for the green thumb in your fam!

I was going through my closet to find options for Easter, and pulled the pieces above as an option to mix and match.
