I live in rural OH now… there is no dressing up here;) So of course I was going to pack only fun dresses with zero waistlines only for this trip to France! I will always and forever feel my best in a dress…pregnant or not. I wanted to fit in one suitcase though so I kept it simple with one sweater, dresses, and a few pairs of comfortable shoes and sandals for walking. Laundry Room Reveal

March 9, 2023

Our small space laundry room was a challenge to use due to the door opening into the space vs. outward. It required some mild ninja level skills to get laundry in and out! Once the dryer died, we went ahead and rode the wave through a whole renovation of the space. Thinking through how we would use this space, we decided to maximize every inch!

The Kitchen Reveal Tour!

March 29, 2022

In many ways, this kitchen is the heart of our home. We spend hours a day here prepping meals, and an equal amount of time cleaning up. It’s where long conversations between Gabe and I happen late at night while we clean, and where we get the day started packing lunches before school in the morning. This is probably why it has been the most exciting project to see come to life. It hasn’t been without hurdles, intensive problem solving, and many nights in a makeshift kitchen. It’s been something we have really valued getting to share with our IHOD community, and we hope you feel like you learned something along the way! Today we are giving you the official tour, sources, and contractor info. It’s a hefty post so grab a cup of your favorite beverage and cozy up!

Home project goals for 2022.

It’s that time of year where we come out of the clouds of the holidays and re-visit our life projection plan. We break down our priorities and re-set any tangents happening;) It is a time to review our direction in all areas of life – marriage, family, home, etc. Today we are going to share the project goals we have for our current home here in Nashville for the upcoming year. I have learned to really appreciate the process of our home evolving with us over time. Maybe not so much the chaos of our kitchen being out of commission while juggling homework and dinner time, but you get the idea. Our goal with our renovation has always been to create a home environment that is conducive to the flow of our daily life. A place that makes us all feel at home to rest, play, work, and spend time together.
